Spotting SolidBodies

We’re always trying new things at Taylor, from fresh guitar designs to breakthrough technologies to experiments with color. We recently discovered a new color for our SolidBody Classic called Blue Steel, a slightly pearlized, lusciously rich aqua which highlights the guitar’s curvy form. Shown below with two HD mini humbuckers, a pearloid pickguard, and five-way pickup switching, this guitar is ready to scream.

Blue Steel will soon join the rich palette of color options offered for the SolidBody Classic, which also include Lava Red Pearl, Jewelescent Orange, Purple Flake and others. Choosing a color is just one category of several that allow players to custom-design their SolidBody for their personal preferences. Soon, players can “build” their SolidBody on the Taylor website by choosing their body style (Classic or Standard), cutaway (single or double), color, pickguard color (including two new colors, Parchment and Aged Pearl), bridge (stoptail or tremolo), and pickup configuration (from a variety of Taylor’s “plug and play” solderless pickups). You can check it out here and expect more exciting updates from us in the weeks to come.
