Koa Joins Taylor’s 200 Series

ANAHEIM, Calif. – January 25, 2013 – Following the release of the company’s new body shape, the Grand Orchestra, Taylor Guitars is announcing the addition of a new model to its ever-popular 200 Series models: the Koa edition.

Koa’s captivating looks have long made it an attractive aesthetic choice for guitar lovers, and its inclusion in the 200 Series offers fans of the wood a more affordable option for owning a koa guitar. The models will be released in two shapes: the Dreadnought 210ce-K and the Grand Auditorium, 214ce-K. Each model features a back and sides of figured koa laminate, a solid Sitka spruce top, cream binding, small diamond fretboard inlays, an ebony fretboard and bridge, a Venetian cutaway, and Taylor’s proprietary ES-T® acoustic electronics. Both the 210ce-K and the 214ce-K come in a hardshell gig bag and can be found at Authorized Taylor Dealers.

The models make their debut at the 2013 NAMM show in Anaheim, California January 24-27. Players are invited to experience them firsthand in Taylor’s showcase room (213 ABC).
