The Taylor American Dream Series has steadily grown since its launch in 2020, and we’re excited to kick off our 2023 lineup with a fresh trio of guitars that further diversify the family’s musical personalities.
Each new model features a different body style — choose from the Grand Theater (GT), Grand Concert and Grand Pacific — with all three dressed in a striking tobacco sunburst top. With the Series’ trademark balance of rich tone, player-friendly design and great value, you’re guaranteed an exceptional playing experience no matter which model you choose.
We’ve designed a distinctive appointment package for these guitars, headlined by the tobacco sunburst top and matte body finish, and accented with an eye-catching firestripe faux tortoiseshell pickguard. Other details include black top purfling, a black/maple/black rosette, 4mm dot fretboard inlays in Italian acrylic, and satin black tuners.
All three of these new American Dream Series guitars include onboard ES2 electronics and a brown AeroCase, which offers all the protection of a traditional hardshell case at one-third the weight.

AD11e-SB
Kicking things off on the smaller end of the guitar spectrum, our acoustic-electric AD11e-SB brings our GT body style to the American Dream Series for the first time. The comfortably scaled-down body and shorter scale length (24-⅛ inches) offer a remarkably accommodating feel. Smaller than the full-scale Grand Concert but larger than our GS Mini and travel-size guitars, the GT blends portability with the full sound you’d expect from a bigger guitar.
Solid walnut back and sides paired with a Sitka spruce top deliver a warm, woody response with bold midrange power, while our tone-enhancing C-Class bracing dials up more volume, longer sustain, greater tunefulness up the neck and more presence in the bass range. In terms of playability, chamfered body edges and a slender Taylor neck profile complement the GT’s compact dimensions for a supremely comfortable feel.
AD12e-SB
For a full-scale playing experience that retains an intimate feel, try the AD12e-SB. This Grand Concert features a compact body that sits easily in your arms, while the comfortable Taylor neck makes fretting a breeze. The Grand Concert body shape’s smaller dimensions lend this model a remarkably balanced, articulate and responsive sound that makes it especially ideal for fingerstyle players as well as anyone interested in recording applications. Solid walnut paired with Sitka spruce and V-Class bracing serve up clear midrange character with a low-end response that will grow more pronounced as the walnut matures over time and play.
AD17e-SB
Rounding out the trio is the AD17e-SB, crafted with our Grand Pacific body shape. This round-shoulder dreadnought yields a complex, blended sound with notes that overlap into a seamless whole, a musical character reminiscent of vintage acoustic sounds. As with its counterparts, this acoustic-electric guitar features all-solid walnut back and sides, a Sitka spruce top and our tone-boosting V-Class interior bracing for enhanced volume and sustain.
In the larger body shape, the walnut/spruce tonewood combo resonates with exceptional power and projection, boasting clear low-end presence that remains articulate even at higher volumes. If you’re looking for a reliable strummer that will look and sound fantastic on stage, the AD17e-SB might be the guitar for you.
