Now, you can own that guitar: the The Last of Us Replica 314c, a fully playable, authentic Taylor guitar crafted to exactly match the one seen in the hit series. The guitar is the result of a unique partnership between Taylor Guitars, HBO and Sony Pictures, one that saw Taylor designers and experts being directly involved in developing props for the TV series.
Longtime Taylor fans may remember that this is not the first time we’ve been connected to the world of The Last of Us. In 2020, we collaborated with the game development team at Naughty Dog—the studio responsible for the video games on which the TV show is based—to create a pair of guitars for fans and musicians featuring graphic designs inspired by the game world.
This time, we’ve worked with the show creators to develop an exact replica of the guitar seen in the show, most prominently in episode six of the second season. The Last of Us Replica 314c features identical visual appointments to the ones crafted by Joel in the episode, most notably the distinctive moth inlay design.

The Last of Us Replica 314c features Taylor’s popular, ultra-versatile Grand Auditorium body shape, which marries exceptional playing comfort with a tone profile that performs beautifully across different playing styles and musical genres. The guitar is crafted with back and sides of solid sapele with a top of solid Sitka spruce and a genuine West African ebony fretboard, all matching the configuration of the bestselling 314ce guitar from our standard 300 Series lineup. Like all Taylor acoustic guitars, this The Last of Us Replica 314c sports our slender, easy-playing neck with the low, comfortable action players expect from our instruments.
Aesthetically, Taylor’s The Last of Us Replica 314c is a perfect match to the one seen in the TV series. It boasts a Tobacco Sunburst top with a satin finish for the body and neck, accented with grained ivoroid binding, a faux-tortoiseshell pickguard, a double-ring ivoroid rosette, nickel tuning machines, a black strap pin and ebony bridge pins. The moth fretboard inlay is also in ivoroid, with matching dot inlays up the neck.
Tonally, the guitar produces the same clarity and balance that players expect from Taylor guitars, along with the woody, warm midrange character and minimal overtones inherent to the sapele/spruce tonewood pairing. The Last of Us Replica 314c also features our V-Class bracing architecture, which enhances the guitar’s voice with improved volume, sustain and harmony between notes all the way up the neck. This model is crafted with a traditional Venetian cutaway for easy access to the guitar’s upper register. As an acoustic-only model, the guitar does not include built-in electronics. It ships with a deluxe hardshell case.
