I was in my last semester of college and extremely stressed. In prior semesters I knew that if I failed a course I would have a chance to re-take it. But this was my LAST semester! I did not want to have to add another semester to my already-too-long list of semesters.
I sat on the couch telling this to my father and asked him what advice he had for me. He said, “You need to go shopping.”
“Shopping?” I replied. “What does shopping have to do with school?”
“You know that guitar brand that you’ve wanted for a long time? When you finish school I want to get you one.”
“You mean a Taylor?” I asked. He smiled and nodded his head.
I felt like a weight had been lifted from my shoulders. I received the best grades of my lengthy college career that semester. I’ve now owned my Taylor 714ce for as long as I was in college, and it continues to sing beautifully.
Thanks Dad!
