Earlier this month, singer-songwriter Tyrone Wells (GSRS, 814ce, 810ce, 714ce) asked fans to meet him online in support of his new album, Where We Meet. More specifically, Wells, along with his label, Position Music, invited fans to perform their own cover version of “Freedom,” the first track from the album, and upload it onto YouTube.com. Over 50 entrants made their case, with Jonathan Tyler Usborne (614ce) selected as the winner. Usborne scored himself an opening slot for Wells at an upcoming show, a GS Mini guitar, backstage passes, tickets and more. You can watch his performance here:

Where We Meet has topped the iTunes Singer/Songwriter chart at the No.1 spot. This week, Wells is debuting songs from the album at the South By Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas, and readying a multicity headlining tour with stops around the country. http://tyronewells.com/tickets/
