EL CAJON, Calif. – January 15, 2014 – Taylor Guitars is pleased to announce its artist lineup for the 2014 Winter NAMM Show in Anaheim, California. This year brings a mix of notable songwriters, a Grammy Award-winning act, emerging artists, and a first for fans around the globe: an invitation to join the celebration through live streaming of all artist performances in the Taylor Guitars Room.
Taylor’s NAMM performances kick off at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 23, with country music newcomer Alana Springsteen. Showing poise and songwriting chops beyond her years, Springsteen has made waves in Nashville’s songwriting circles, garnering the attention of Sugarland’s Kristian Bush, with whom she has enjoyed co-writing. Following Springsteen, the stage will welcome Vicci Martinez, a semi-finalist on season 1 of NBC’s The Voice. A fan favorite, Martinez spent 2013 touring the country in support of her label release Vicci. Closing out Thursday night will be duo Johnnyswim. Incorporating elements of rock, folk, soul and the blues, the pair recently earned critical acclaim as a VH1 “You Oughta Know” act.
On Friday, Taylor master luthier Andy Powers and renowned songwriter Jack Tempchin will perform at 3:00 p.m. Tempchin, known for writing/co-writing the Eagles’ hits “Peaceful Easy Feeling,” “Already Gone,” and co-writing Glenn Frye ‘s “You Belong to the City,” will perform material from his own extensive discography. At 4:00 p.m., YouTube sensation and soulful songstress Tori Kelly will offer songs off her new album, Foreward. Indie rockers Good Old War will end the day with their delicate melodies and multipart harmonies as they perform material off their recent album, Come Back as Rain.
On Saturday, the company welcomes Nashville-based singer-songwriter Ben Rector. Rector has gained fans coast-to-coast with his nostalgic lyrics, sentimental melodies and skilled guitar work. His most recent album, The Walking In Between, has earned him spots on Live with Jimmy Kimmel, AXS TV, and performance dates across the nation. Following Rector will be emerging singer-songwriter Cody Lovaas. At only 15 years old, Lovaas’s beach-rock style has attracted the attention of other notable singer-songwriters, including Saturday night’s headliner, Jason Mraz. Mraz will perform 5:00 p.m. accompanied by crowd-pleasing folk-rockers Raining Jane, a standout act from Taylor’s 2013 NAMM lineup.
Starting Thursday, January 23, at 2:45 p.m., fans will be able to log on to the Taylor Guitars website (taylorguitars.com) and watch their favorite artists and emerging acts perform in the Taylor Guitars Room at NAMM. Fans attending the NAMM Show are welcome to view the performances live by visiting the Taylor Room located at 213ABC.
