FRANKFURT – April 17, 2015 – The new 600 Series from Taylor Guitars was honored with a  Musikmesse International Press Award (M.I.P.A.) for Best Acoustic Guitar at last night’s M.I.P.A. award show, held at the Musikmesse Trade Show. The annual M.I.P.A. awards show honors the best in each musical instrument product class. More than 160 publications from around the world cast their votes for the top products in over 40 musical instrument categories to determine the M.I.P.A. winners. The prestigious award has been called the “Grammy” of the Musical Instrument/Pro Audio industry.

To accept the award, a contingent from Taylor Guitars was on-hand, including Master Guitar Designer Andy Powers, who accepted the award on behalf of the company.

The award is the third consecutive win for the company in the category of Best Acoustic Guitar. In 2014, the company won for the redesigned 800 Series, and in 2013 for its newest acoustic body shape, the Grand Orchestra, which was introduced that year.
