Over the weekend of October 30 at the popular Acoustic Avalon show in Leicester, U.K., Taylor guitar owners brought their cherished instruments to be serviced by staff directly from the Taylor Guitars factory. David Hosler, vice president of customer service and repair, was on-hand for lots of restringing, refreshing and resetting of a multitude of Taylor guitars. He tells us that attendees of the festival were jumping at the chance to have their instruments inspected and were often mesmerized by the process. “People would stand for hours watching us work on guitars and learning how to restring and care for their own instruments. The comments were much as we always hear: ‘Wow…what a great idea having techs at a show… you guys really know how to do it!’”
The re-tech event was hosted by Sheehan’s Music, a longtime Taylor dealer and major sponsor of the Acoustic Avalon show.
