The Taylor Baritone 8-String was honored with a Musikmesse International Press Award (M.I.P.A.) for Best Acoustic Guitar during the 2010 Musikmesse trade show in Frankfurt, Germany, held March 24-27. The M.I.P.A. winners were announced at a special awards ceremony on March 25 in Frankfurt, and a Taylor contingent that was there to represent the company at the trade show, including co-founders Bob Taylor and Kurt Listug, was on-hand to accept the award. More than 100 publications from around the world cast their votes for the top products in over 40 musical instrument categories to determine the M.I.P.A. winners. The prestigious award has been called the “Grammy” of the Musical Instrument/Pro Audio industry.
