The Ultimate Dave Matthews Band auction ended earlier this week, generating over $30,000 for VH1s Save The Music Foundation. Hosted in conjunction with CharityBuzz.com, the online auction item closed with a winning bid of $27,510, with other, individual donations made through PayPal.
While the winning bidder has yet to be identified, a once-in-a-lifetime trip awaits. As part of the Ultimate Dave Matthews Band Getaway, the winner and one guest will receive roundtrip tickets to San Diego, California, hotel accommodations, and tickets to the Dave Matthews Band show in San Diego on August 20. After the concert, the winner will be invited backstage to meet Dave* and be presented with an autographed Dave Matthews Signature Model Taylor guitar. While in San Diego, the winner will also receive a private tour of the Taylor Guitars factory to see where and how Dave’s guitar was made, and will be awarded a Taylor Guitars prize package that includes two Taylor bar stools, a Taylor T-shirt, guitar strap, and digital tuner.
The Save The Music Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to restoring instrumental music education in America’s public schools, and raising awareness about the importance of music as part of each child’s complete education.
