Late last month, Andy Brown was voted the winner of Acoustic Test Drive, a contest hosted by Taylor, Sonicbids.com and Elixir Strings® to support emerging artists. Brown was one of five semi-finalists that also included soulful singer-songwriter Anamieke Quinn, energetic songwriter-guitarist Jerry Stamp, and a pair of bands: polished pop-rockers Goodnight Sunrise and Senator and the New Republic.
As the Grand Prize winner, Brown will soon head to the famed Painted Blue Studios to record with his new gear from Taylor and Elixir. In a recent interview with Here, Brown says that winning the competition has been a major boost. “It feels good. I mean, to be on people’s radar and to know that people are expecting a lot from you and they can see you in the future being quite a lot further in your career, that’s a really good feeling.”
