You’ll find all three new models, as well as the rest of the commemorative guitars, at Taylor dealers everywhere.

Sinker redwood has long held a boutique appeal for guitar players, boasting an unusual origin story to complement its rich musical character. Sourced from old-growth logs that have been submerged in Northern California riverbeds for years or even decades, sinker redwood has typically only been available on some of our most refined, prestigious models, and usually in limited quantities—think the Presentation Series, where it has appeared several times in recent years. But it’s simply too unique and sonically exceptional to keep sequestered, and the 50th Anniversary collection and the player-focused Builder’s Edition family afford us a great opportunity to add sinker redwood to a few more guitars.
Enter the 50th Anniversary Builder’s Edition 812ce LTD, the more compact sibling to the slightly larger Grand Auditorium version that joined the collection earlier this year. This model delivers all the benefits players have come to expect from the compact Grand Concert body shape, with accommodating dimensions that make for a truly intimate playing experience. Thanks to its articulate, balanced tone profile, the Grand Concert is an especially ideal fit for fingerstyle players and yields extraordinary clarity that make it a perfect choice for recording applications as well. The solid sinker top with its beautiful reddish coloration generates cedar-like warmth with an extra dose of headroom and power to add heft and projection without losing its remarkable soft-touch sensitivity. The Indian rosewood back and sides serve up all the low-end presence and pristine treble character that have made it a classic tonewood, and with our V-Class bracing inside, players will notice rich volume, longer sustain and clearer harmony all the way up the neck.
Premium details for this model include Gotoh 510 antique gold tuning machines, ebony bridge pins with gold dots, an Indian rosewood pickguard, an abalone rosette, and Element inlays in gold-hued mother of pearl. It includes ES2 electronics, a 50th Anniversary commemorative label and a deluxe hardshell case.

Next up, another Grand Concert joins the collection: the 50th Anniversary 312ce LTD. Adorned with a lustrous edgeburst finish treatment around the body and neck, plus a gloss-finish body, this Grand Concert boasts back and sides of solid sapele paired with a Sitka spruce top. A part of the Taylor lineup since 1998, sapele is a mahogany-like tonewood that delivers a highly versatile, adaptable sound. Its woody, dry character makes sapele a great choice for recording applications, serving up a warm midrange punch that plays beautifully with other instruments for ensemble scenarios. The Sitka spruce top, braced with our V-Class architecture, cuts through to the front of the mix with bold projection and plenty of power to fill any space.
Along with the striking finish treatment, visual appointments for the 50th Anniversary 312ce LTD include Gemstone inlays, a firestripe pickguard, gold tuning machines and ebony bridge pins with gold dots. It features onboard ES2 electronics and ships with a deluxe hardshell case.

Finally, we round out the trio of new releases with something quite different. Longtime Taylor fans will remember our baritone acoustic guitars, which we occasionally offer on a limited-edition basis. This month’s last new release is the 50th Anniversary 316ce Baritone-6 LTD, a six-string baritone model crafted with sapele back and sides paired with a Sitka spruce top. Built on the foundation of our powerful Grand Symphony body shape, this model boasts a longer scale length of 27 inches as well as heavier baritone strings to accommodate the lower B-to-B tuning.
A baritone guitar opens up a whole new range of musical territory and can be useful both as an additional sonic texture in an existing mix or a solo instrument in its own right. The lower tuning allows players to accompany vocalists with a lower range and adds a fresh stylistic element to any player’s toolkit. Sapele’s dry, woody voice is an ideal fit for the baritone configuration, helping the 316ce Baritone-6 LTD maintain clarity thanks to its minimal overtone response. The Sitka spruce top has been treated with our torrefaction (roasting) process, which adds a touch of aged-in warmth and sweetness to complement its projection and balance.
Visual details for this model match its 300 Series counterparts in the 50th Anniversary collection, including a full-body gloss finish with a shaded edgeburst around the body and neck, a firestripe pickguard, gold tuners, and ebony bridge pins with gold dots. It ships with ES2 electronics for faithful plugged-in tone and includes a deluxe hardshell case.
Remember, all 50th Anniversary collection guitars are available only at authorized Taylor dealers, so head to your local shop to try out these new models.
